National Diabetes Prevention Program
The Balm In Gilead, Inc. was founded by CEO Dr. Pernessa Seele in 1989. It is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is to prevent diseases and to improve the health status of individuals who are disproportionately affected by high rates of health disparities.
The program became recognized by the CDC which started the pathway to the Southeast Diabetes Faith Initiative Lifestyle Change Program and the National Diabetes Prevention Program (created in 2010).
Our Partnership with The Balm In Gilead
Because this program Dr. Seele founded resonates with us and ties in with what we do at Morris Cardio, we now have two certified lifestyle coaches who offer a 12 month program that is free of charge for those who are ready to make a difference in their health by preventing or delaying type 2 diabetes.
Call our office or speak with one of our physicians at our next appointment to see if you qualify for this life-changing program.
