What to Expect During a Telemedicine Visit

During a telemedicine visit, you will connect with your cardiologist over a secure video conferencing platform. You will need a computer or mobile device with a camera and a stable internet connection. Your cardiologist will ask you questions about your health and may perform a virtual exam using video and audio. Your visit will be similar to an in-person visit, and your cardiologist will be able to provide you with the same level of care.

How to Prepare for a Telemedicine Visit

Before your telemedicine visit, make sure you have a quiet, private space where you can talk to your cardiologist without interruption. You should also have your medical history and any current medications or supplements ready to discuss with your cardiologist. If you have any specific questions or concerns, write them down so you don't forget to ask during your visit.

What Can Be Discussed in a Telemedicine Visit

During a telemedicine visit, your cardiologist can discuss a wide range of topics related to your heart health. This includes reviewing your medical history, discussing your current symptoms or concerns, providing medication management, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing a treatment plan. Your cardiologist can also discuss lifestyle modifications, such as exercise and diet changes, that can improve your heart health.
