What is the American College of Lifestyle Medicine?

The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) is a professional medical association dedicated to promoting and advancing the practice of lifestyle medicine. The mission of ACLM is to transform healthcare by addressing the root causes of chronic diseases through the adoption of a whole-person, evidence-based approach to lifestyle interventions.

At our office, we are proud to have providers who are board certified in lifestyle medicine, including Dr. Morris and Sheila PA-C. This certification demonstrates their expertise in utilizing lifestyle interventions to prevent, treat, and manage chronic conditions.

One of the unique offerings at our office is lifestyle medicine appointments with Sheila, our certified physician assistant. Sheila specializes in helping patients make sustainable lifestyle changes that have a profound impact on their health and well-being. She will work closely with you to create personalized lifestyle plans, incorporating nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and other lifestyle factors to optimize your health outcomes.

In addition to individual appointments, we also offer shared medical appointments, which provide a collaborative and supportive environment for patients with similar health concerns to come together. These appointments allow for shared learning, group support, and the opportunity to receive individualized care from our providers. It's a great way to connect with others who are on a similar journey and receive comprehensive care in a group setting.

We also organize a walking group as part of our commitment to promoting physical activity and community engagement. Joining our walking group offers the opportunity to exercise in a social setting, meet like-minded individuals, and enjoy the benefits of regular physical activity. Walking is an accessible and enjoyable way to improve overall health and well-being.
